55 Concepts A Guide To Conscious Living edition by Michael Cavallaro SelfHelp eBooks

I bought this book after a traumatic event in my life. I read it with an open mind and while some of it is your typical psychobabble mumbo jumbo, most of it provides very interesting concepts that make sense when you think about them and when applied to the things happening to you in your life. It will make you feel better. You will feel more in control of your life by applying these 55 concepts. It won't solve all your problems or mend your broken heart, or soothe the anger you got, but it will help you become a better person.

55 Concepts A Guide To Conscious Living edition by Michael Cavallaro SelfHelp eBooks Reviews

This book is a quick read but if you take it to heart it will assist you in changing your life. The book will not do it for you but the simple words in this book can fuel your passion to begin to live the life you want to live. The book has helped me to change my perception and by doing that change my world. Just by taking to heart 1 of the concepts "Hurt is not getting what I want" I have changed my behavior and moved on. Now each time I allow myself to be hurt I look where I am not getting what I want and that process changes the entire interaction. My suggestion is get the book pick 1 concept work with it for a week and see if it does not have a profound impact on your life also.
Don’t buy kindle version. Wonderful content but the kindle version is incomplete. Some of the sentences are incomplete and it’s hard to read.
This book and the process in here has changed everything about me and my life! "Beyond my wildest dreams". I have personally experienced this process, mentored with the author...Michael Cavallaro, and I am currently enrolled in classes at the Metaphysical Mentoring Institue. [...]The information in this book is life altering when applied in any and all aspects of life! It is about personal responsibility. To truely know ones self and come back to the truth within you must first undo all the beliefs and patternings that govern your life. Then and only then can you begin to create your life into any form you wish. This is beyond the laws of attraction. This is creation...conciousness. I am forever grateful for this book, the process, and the information that has been shared from the author, Michael Cavallaro.
If Cavallaro does write another book, it will be hard to hold the quality that this one has been built with. He has spent decades slowly building up this book through his practice of psychologically enhancing journeys. 55 is the number of concepts he ended up with. While the concepts are appropriately vague, they are not too vague. They are abstract enough but specific enough to show that many things in life happen to us based on our own feelings and not so much how other people or things treat us. Rather, it is how we take things. For example, materialistically, some people may think that living in a small shed made of brick is a wealth for their physical environment while others used to living in a mansion or used to a higher standard of living may feel depressed to be living in such a condition. A person may feel bullied from being picked on, but someone else may actually have the masochism of enjoying this kind of pain. I like how Cavallaro is not so extreme that he does not encourage being kind to others. A key to many of his concepts is that people around you are your mirrors (their personalities toward you may reflect a part of how you project yourself to everyone else!), and that you deal with what you have to, but otherwise for the most part, you can usually stay away or find ways to make your situations work.

There are only a few things that I particularly disagreed with. On p. 155, he mentions that spiritual laws are larger than most can see rather than that spiritual laws are larger than all can see. Also, on p. 153, he mentions that there are no new truths and only eternal truths that keep changing. I think that there are infinite truths that we do not know about and that even though many may be based on a set of elements, some of them are essentially different truths and not the same at all. For instance, having a computer is a totally different kind of "truth" to me than trying to write on slate with a piece of rock. While the idea of writing may have originated from our ancestors of way lore ago, the two products used to create the final result are totally different (slate vs. computer).

Books like this generally bore me, but it's still worth a read and can be a very valuable tool. People who can agree on this kind of book and talk about it can probably consider deeper friendships with each others that others would not easily understand or feel.
Very dissatisfied. Did not fit online description. Would NOT order again!
was adviced to buy it by my psychology teacher .. loved it ..
if you're into psychology, i recommend the book. it might not have new concepts for you, but let's say that it introduces many of those concepts from different points of view that what we usually know .. finally, it requires more thinking. so don't rush to get done with it .. enjoy it like coffee ..
Heard the author speak many years ago. Have purchased several for gifts. It is like the Bible of life. I read it again and again.
